Smith's stores does not individually support schools. If you are not listing Kay's Creek Elementary PTA as your recipient, Smith's just keeps all that money which could be supporting your students!

Kay's Creek Students read 22,617 books!
Kaysville Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics challenged all Kay's Creek students to read 10,000 books in the KPDO Tooth Be Told, Let the Books Unfold. It's ON! challenge.

Our amazing readers went above and beyond to read 22,617 books! KPDO generously made 5(!) donations of Keva Planks, 3D pens, filament, and even a new station for the 3D Pens. Thank you to Dr. Jones, Dr. Harrison, and their wonderful staff for supporting Kay's Creek and help promote reading skills. We love it when they come celebrate with us!

How to sign up for
Smith's Inspiring Donations
Hello Kay's Creek Families!
We are so fortunate to have such a great company as Smith's that is committed to helping our school grow and prosper. Did you know that when you shop at Smith's with your rewards card Smith's donates to Kay's Creek Elementary? This is one of the easiest ways we can earn money for our students by just doing our everyday grocery shopping! In order for our school to receive the money, you must enroll your Smith's rewards card into the donations program and select Kay's Creek Elementary as the organization to receive the donation. Here are step by step instructions:
1. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR SMITH'S REWARDS CARD HANDY
2. CLICK THE SMITH'S LINK BELOW
3. CLICK I'M A CUSTOMER
4. SIGN IN WITH YOUR EMAIL AND PASSWORD (or create an account if you do not already have one)
5. CLICK ENROLL (if you are not currently enrolled) OR CHANGE ORGANIZATION (if you are currently linked to a different organization)
6. TYPE JK024 AS THE ORGANIZATION (this is Kay's Creek Elementary's ID) AND CLICK SEARCH
7. MAKE SURE IT SAYS KAY'S CREEK ELEMENTARY AND CLICK ENROLL
8. SIGN OUT - YOU'RE DONE!!!!
Now every time you shop at Smith's you earn money for Kay's Creek.
PLEASE take a moment and sign up. Parents, grandparents, family friends, neighbors, aunts, and uncles! Anyone who has a Smith's Rewards card or shops at Smith's can choose to donate to Kay's Creek. It takes less than 5 minutes and is a huge impact.

Field DayÂ
Wednesday, May 29
We know it is still months away, but we are beginning the planning process for Field Day. It will take place on Wednesday, May 29th. Here is the breakdown of the day:
9:15am - 11:15am - AM Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes
1:00pm - 3:00pm - Functional Skills, PM Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes
We are hoping to have 13 rotation stations, each lasting approximately 9 minutes.
HERE IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! If you are willing to walk around with your child's class OR volunteer to run one of the activities (they will already be ready to go for you), PLEASE email us at KaysCreekPTA@gmail.com. You can volunteer for 1 hour, 2 hours, one session, both sessions, WHATEVER fits your schedule. We could use all the help we can get! This is always a wonderful activity that the kids look forward to every year!
Kay's Creek Fall Festival Fundraiser
We need your help. We are looking for volunteers to help with games and concessions. We are looking for ideas for activities and games at the Fall Festival. We are looking for small items for the raffle and larger items for our silent auction baskets. We need you!

Congratulations to the phenomenal Kay's Creek teachers and staff, to the amazing students, and to the Kay's Creek families who support them all!

The Utah State Board of Education on Thursday released its latest online accountability report (this is the link for Kay's Creek) for public schools. The new system received high marks from officials at several school districts as well as the state's largest teachers union.
​
Unlike previous state school report cards, this year's version has no letter grades. That practice has been temporarily suspended as the board implements new statewide testing and a revised school accountability system approved by the Utah Legislature in 2017.
Coyote Howler Pack
Calling all DUDES!
Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, older brothers, family friends, and other father figures who volunteer to help at least one Friday (8:50am-1:25pm) a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal and teachers. Check out which days work with your schedule on Sign Up Genius.
Howler Dudes will be helping all over the school, at recess, and lunchtime. During the day, Howler Dudes may be asked to read with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, make buttons for reading challenges, patrol the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well.

Howler Dudes are needed to help provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
​
Howler Dudes also provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
​
Howler Dudes are there for a high five, to let students know they are doing great, and to encourage kindness.

Birthday Book Club
Thank you to Paityn D. and Clemmie L. for letting us be a part of your special day. Your book donations are a wonderful addition to our growing library. Kay's Creek students can find the Birthday Books in the library by looking for the candle on the spine!
Utah PTA Mission Statement

We need your help!
If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form. If you would like to help with a certain event or work with a specific committee, please let us know. We need many different types of volunteers. We need some who can help at events, some who can help at the school, some who can make buttons when they are able to come to the school, and some who are able to help us from their homes. We have opportunities where you can bring your littles while you help, put together raffle prizes, or be a coach for Davis Book Battles.  If you would like to volunteer but not sure what your schedule will look like in a month? Fill out the form and let us know you would like an email from Sign Up Genius when there is a need. It is amazing how volunteering for 1/2 hour can make a huge difference. Thank you.
