Stop by the office and grab a membership envelope. Check out our table at Back to School Night, Fall Festival and Fun Run Fundraiser, Grand Lunch, or at ILP Conferences. Stop one our many volunteers in the halls. We will have a PTA lanyard. You can send a $5 payment via VENMO at #KaysCreekPTA. Please comment that your payment is for PTA Membership, your name, phone number, and email. What does it mean to be a member of the PTA?
Making a Difference
The membership fees to join are very low ($5 a person). This money gets divided up between district, region, state, and national PTA. When your reflections entries go to region and on to state, the program is funded by your PTA dues. The State, Region and District PTA's provide training for the local PTA and are there to answer questions, review the financial books, and keep everything legal. The State PTA also takes care of the solicitor’s license for all the PTA's in the state, otherwise, we could not legally approach local businesses for donations. Also, and possible most important, the State PTA has a Legislative Action Committee that monitors bills at the State Capital and advocate for our kids and teachers. There are usually over 100 bills every year that are specific to education (not all of them beneficial) and many more that will affect children and families in the state. The PTA Legislative Action committee lobbies on behalf of our children and the more members that join PTA the more the legislatures will listen to them. It is much better to approach a legislature representing a group of 100,000 concerned parents than a group of 1000 concerned parents. The LAC really does work to advocate for the best interest of our kids and our schools. That alone is worth $5.00

Kay's Creek PTA provides activities and events throughout the year. We are behind the musical, field day, literacy and reading challenges, bike safety, book fairs, Red Ribbon week, and teacher appreciation.  Our volunteers are passionate, up for anything and eager to do all they can for the students.  Are you ready to start your future with us? We need your help!
If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form. If you would like to help with a certain event or work with a specific committee, please let us know. We need many different types of volunteers. We need some who can help at events, some who can help at the school, some who can make buttons when they are able to come to the school, and some who are able to help us from their homes. We have opportunities where you can bring your littles while you help, put together raffle prizes, or be a coach for Davis Book Battles.  If you would like to volunteer but not sure what your schedule will look like in a month? Fill out the form and let us know you would like an email from Sign Up Genius when there is a need. It is amazing how volunteering for 1/2 hour can make a huge difference. Thank you.
